In round 7 of the NE Championship series Matt was again in the top placings finishing 2nd junior and 10th overall from a 100 rider field. This result was all the more impressive when Matt had damaged a cleat at half distance and couldn't clip in. This happened when he was closing the gap on the leading junior rider but had to settle for 2nd riding with one foot free. Matt's next target will be the North of England cross championship on 4th December.
New recruit for the 2012 junior team, Matt Flynn, had a excellent weekend of cyclocross at his first outing in Teamwallis colours. In the Rapha supercross on Saturday Matt was 3rd junior and 25th overall from 156 starters. On Sunday in the 5th round of the NE Championship Matt went one better to finish 2nd junior and 5th overall from 70 starters after gaining places throughout the race from an unseeded grid position. Matt only started riding cyclocross a few weeks ago and is clearly making an impact already.
