Salt Ayre last counting event.

The last race of the points series provided a surprise, a break finally went! Many of our team tried to get away, only to be chased down, by the local teams, this time the peleton let a group get away, and young Matt Flynn scored a fine win, accompanied by serial break away rider Matt Jones, Eldon did a monster lap turn for Julian to win the bunch gallop, and he was 5th, enough to secure the series, and his first cat licence, welldone Julian.

Salt Ayre 9th August

A pleasant evening for racing, with the circuit basking in sunshine, a very large field was present, and made for a slightly nervous race. Martin tried a couple of moves, whilst Julian, enjoying himself having won the league was active in the moves also. The usual last lap madness meant Martin, along with Matt Jones ended up in the grass. Julian was again sparring with Steve Ward for the win, with Steve getting it this time, Julian now very close to his first Cat licence.

Preston GP

The cream of the UK's criterium riders were on show at Preston, with the aim of winning the event, and Rapha the series with a placing for Dean Downing. A brutal pace was set from the outset, with Ian Wilkinson, and the 100% Me guys all going fullgas. The race quickly became a brutal survival race, with many finding it hard, Calum and Ben giving it there all, but not quite upto the lightning pace. James hung in well, and although tasting blood ! finished a very creditable 24th, with only 29 of the starting 57 finishing. Read more ...

First ride @Litherland, capped with a win!

A sunny, but windy night made for a tough race, Jack was the first to open hostilities with an early move off the front, one of many, along with Milan, and Dan Whelan, they continued to attack all race. The field soon slimmed down, and with Julian and Jack in the move that the men that mattered were in, Martin took the oppurtunity for a breather! The constant attacking from Jack, who is recovering from a bad crash in Milton Keynes, took there toll, and he made one last move before the sprint, only to be caught on the last lap. Read more ...

Three in the Points at Saltayre

A wet circuit mad for a nervous night at Saltayre, with the race being slow in the corners, and fast between them. There were several attempts to get away, with Steve and Dafydd in the moves, the one that seemed to be likely to suceed contained three juniors, including Tom Armstrong. Tom punctured, and Nev lent him a wheel so he could continue, the move was pulled back just before the end, and the usual bunch finish was just won by Brind-Surch, with Calum 2nd, and Julian 6th, Dafydd getting in the points with 8th.

Saltayre 7th June

The rain stopped for a mixed bag of racing at Saltayre, a stop start race was full of attempted breakaways. Steve and Julian were first to try with Sam Jackson and Matt Jones, but the bunch worked to bring them back, only to sit up when they were caught. Then Martin tried his luck, joined by Chris Vaughan, but this was neutralised. Sam tried with Julian again, but once again the negative mood of the bunch was not for letting a move succeed.
